Confession to Murder and Dismembering

MONTICELLO — A Sullivan County man accused of killing his live-in girlfriend and dismembering her body in April gave extensive video and audio interviews to state police investigators and then went with them to four locations in the county after he was arrested, a state police investigator testified Thursday.

Investigator William Young Jr. testified during a pretrial hearing in Sullivan County Court that Lars Ryder, 23, cooperated through several hours of interviews and freely consented to a polygraph on May 12, the day he was arrested.
